Whether you are visiting or a native Atlantan I would highly recommend this tour to learn a good deal of history about the city, and get some great food along the way! John is very personable and a great storyteller, and you can tell he loves his city and has some neat inside info about some areas and sites. The restaurants we visited had great food, my favorite was the fried chicken, collards and mashed taters (yes, I am from here). Also, really loved the juicy bacon cheeseburger with a DOUGHNUT bun, yes...you read that right! I am an Atlanta native and I learned new things about my own city and will be back to eat at the places we tried, some of which were new to me. The tour ran a bit long, but being foodies we didn't mind. Definitely give this tour a try, you wont regret it!

Brian, Great review AND it made me laugh out loud at least twice! Who says "mashed taters"? Ha!
"The tour ran a bit long" was actually kind! We were slow moving because you "foodies" like to savor your tastes and sips and then talk about it! It was the best fun as you and your wife are such wonderful folks to hang out with…..so the walking tour became a slowly strolling, constant laughing, lip-licking Southern happening! You married a "ham" and she married a "nut"….and I was truly privileged to meet you both! Please be my guests on the new "Midtown al Fresco" Tour! Coming soon!
