Whether you are visiting or a native Atlantan I would highly recommend this tour to learn a good deal of history about the city, and get some great food along the way! John is very personable and a great storyteller, and you can tell he loves his city and has some neat inside info about some areas and sites. The restaurants we visited had great food, my favorite was the fried chicken, collards and mashed taters (yes, I am from here). Also, really loved the juicy bacon cheeseburger with a DOUGHNUT bun, yes...you read that right! I am an Atlanta native and I learned new things about my own city and will be back to eat at the places we tried, some of which were new to me. The tour ran a bit long, but being foodies we didn't mind. Definitely give this tour a try, you wont regret it!

Brian, Great review AND it made me laugh out loud at least twice! Who says "mashed taters"? Ha! "The tour ran a bit long" was actually kind! We were slow moving because you "foodies" like to savor your tastes and sips and then talk about it! It was the best fun as you and your wife are such wonderful folks to hang out with…..so the walking tour became a slowly strolling, constant laughing, lip-licking Southern happening! You married a "ham" and she married a "nut"….and I was truly privileged to meet you both! Please be my guests on the new "Midtown al Fresco" Tour! Coming soon!

The midtown food tour was an absolutely incredible way to spend an afternoon eating, discussing the history of the area, and swapping travel stories. I was a bit apprehensive of booking the tour since I worked in downtown Atlanta for a time and have grown up in the area. I was worried I had heard the history and had the food. This was not the case! John had a great food lineup and filled the strolls with entertaining and historical stories! To top it off, he had a special surprise for my girlfriend's birthday! The afternoon was great and I will be bring some family for a tour with John in the near future!

B. - I'm thinking that you and MB had a pretty cool and amazing Saturday afternoon of surprise birthday fun! You two were such delightful guests, all in for the next food adventure, all about having a great time! The cake and the candles!! The highlight of the Tour for me! MB was genuinely surprised and so gracious! But the funniest part for me was the look on your faces when at 4:15, 5 food stops under your belts, you both fully realized that a 5:15 dinner reservation with your Dad was…well…..Yikes! (Maybe you both ordered small salads and a glass of water!) Mothers Day? Fathers Day? A Peachtree Food Tour? What a great way to treat your parents, not so much to food and fun, but rather to some genuine quality time together! My best to you and MB!

Enjoyed strolling through Midtown on this tour. We enjoyed a lot of good food and John's knowledge of the Atlanta area. John is a pro! An excellent way to spend an afternoon whether you are a native or a tourist!

T. - Thanks for taking a moment to post a review about your Saturday afternoon adventure! I had to grin as I looked over at the 3 of you just chatting away. More folks are appreciating that Peachtree Food Tours is more than just tastes and sips and fun informative information. All of that wrapped together translates into some wonderful quality time together….and considering how long you've all been friends, you had plenty to catch up on! When you get to Chicago, start your visit with a Food Tour! Lots of choices but follow the the advice of your fellow Tripadvisor travelers. Looks like Food Planet might be a win-win! Have fun!
