We did the milk run in mid-June, so it was more of a “milkshake run,” but it was a perfectly acceptable flow for a 4yo and 7yo’s first whitewater trip. We got outfitted with PFDs and hopped in the van for a 5 minute trip to the drop-in point. Our guide, Swany, provided a very thorough safety overview before we got in. He and the rest of the folks we met were lovely, had a great sense of humor, and shared expansive knowledge of the natural history of the area. The kids had a blast. Most importantly to the times we live in, this outfitter took every precaution to prevent COVID19 spread, including providing gator masks and regularly disinfecting the vans, boats, and equipment. Two thumbs way up. A must-do on a trip to BV/Salida.

We had a great time with our guide Swany on the Milk Run rafting trip. This was a great adventure for our family to enjoy together. The Adventure Company made booking the trip easy, and our guide made the rafting trip full of laughter while ensuring our safety. Highly recommend!

DREW was an awesome guide who was extremely patient with our non-experienced crew. He was very knowledgeable of the area and pointed out interesting facts. We would highly recommend this for a family with small-ish kiddos (we had our 5 year-old). Can't wait until he is older so we can do a slightly harder trip.
