Mission District Food and Culture Walking Tour

Overview
The Mission District is one of the country’s best cultural and culinary neighborhoods, and no part of San Francisco has a more vibrant food scene than the Mission.

Our unique pay-as-you-go model lets you enjoy more of what you want for less money, a better value than comparable food tours. Simply hand the guide $20 cash on your arrival, and they’ll take care of the rest. They’ll pay for the entire group at each of our four stops, minimizing wait time. Paying cash also makes it easy for each restaurant to offer more food so you’re guaranteed larger servings.

In two hours, your expert guide will take you back in time with this interactive walking tour of our Latinx community. Be entertained by amazing stories while exploring a thriving arts district filled with murals, and of course, enjoying the local flavors. That means it’s perfect for history buffs, art lovers and foodies.

Come hungry. Bring your camera. And get ready to dig into all SF has to offer.

First and foremost, Eric our guide is very passionate person who has extreme love for his community. He really know the background, history and stories of San Francisco and the art of the Mission district... but this is not a food tour. It is more of an art tour of the murals in that area and for the price I paid, I expected a lot more. You pay on here for the tour but when you arrive at the tour, you will have to pay an extra $20 to get food and we only went to two restaurants and the food was below average. If you're looking for a food tour, this is not it. An art tour, yes.

Eric is the go-to tour guide. We could have listened to him for hours longer. He's knowledgeable since he's lived in the district. It was obvious he had an affection for the neighborhood and was able to give us the history as well as the more recent changes. I appreciated his measured opinions about how current affairs have affected this area and how he clearly feels all people deserve dignity and respect. Best were his recommendations to try other businesses after the tour's conclusion. We did and were so glad! This is not as food-focused but nicely balanced between the food and the beautiful art and culture.

Eric was very knowledgeable about the Mission District’s history, the current neighborhood dynamics and on target with the food! We had a great time. Wry friendly and personable.
