Our tour guide Kyle was very nice but seemed as if he rolled out of bed & had a few edibles in the morning before meeting us. He was knowledgeable about certain species of plants and trails, but we felt weary about his expertise when he put the harnesses on us for the canyoneering experience. We watched other tour guides fasten harnesses onto their group of people and they were all very professionally dressed and cheering on with encouraging words, but somehow we didn’t get that reassurance from our shabby-dressed tour guide. My boyfriend even asked him which leg goes where in the harness and he answered with ā€œnot sure...ā€ which made us VERY apprehensive about rappelling down 100 feet into the canyon. But we did it anyhow. And we had an incredible, memorable time after figuring out we weren’t dying that day. We had two very nice women with us that might’ve been in their 50’s & they commented there was no description of the very long knee-busting trail that leads from the rappelling area to the car. My boyfriend and I had a really good time hiking the trail, we’re used to very strenuous hikes, but they definitely found it challenging. Lunch was provided, hummus sandwich/turkey sandwich with chips and hummus, apples & drinks. Paddle boarding was fun as well, we couldn’t do the 4 mile one due to a fire in one of the campgrounds next to the Colorado river, so we had no choice but to do the 7 mile one. Seven miles is a LONG time to paddle. Get your sunscreen ready. And make sure you have physical endurance to hike and do these things. It will take all your energy from the day. Overall we had lots of fun rappelling down the canyon and paddle boarding, we’d just appreciate a little more professionalism from our experience.

Justin guided me and two friends through the canyons and down the river with total expertise, patience and a fun-loving attitude. After sizing up our group as capable of handling a challenge, he led us on some bonus activities and offered great suggestions on what to do for the remainder of the day. Highly, highly recommend and can't wait to return!
