This is a true White Water experience!! Splash your way down the Colorado River through the rapids of Westwater Canyon, where in addition to rugged desert scenery, there’s the chance you could spot wildlife from soaring bald eagles to river otters and beavers. Over the course of a day, hold on tight as your guide helps navigate the Class III and Class IV whitewater, where rapids have names like Sock-It-To-Me, Funnel Falls and Skull. This trip provides an adrenaline rush amidst walls of red rock canyons, and is great for the traveler who loves a challenge and a bit of desert adventure.

What To Expect

Adrift Adventures

The tour itself begins in Moab where you’ll meet your professional guide, and receive an intro safety briefing to be fit with lifejacket and gear. From here, hop in the van to the ride to the put-in on a scenic section of the river, where your guide will offer additional instruction about riding inside of the raft. Once you’re ready, push off from the sandy bank and prepare to splash through the canyon.

My wife and I booked the west water rafting trip when in Moab for my wife’s 30th birthday. This was my wife’s first white water trip and she isn’t a very strong swimmer so I was a little concerned with her feeling comfortable. Austin our guide helped her feel comfortable and confident through the rapids, this was a total win for us as she wants to raft again. The only thing I that I would knock this trip is the long float sections before and after the rapids, but every river has its faults and benefits. If you have been rafting before and are looking for something a little more maybe consider the cataract canyon trip. Thanks to Austin I will be rafting more often with my wife.

I, my wife and our two friends took whole day Westwater trip with Adrift Adventures. I would recommend this trip to everybody. Our guide Rizzi was very knowledgeable. He took care of all our wishes. One of us felt a little scared before the trip, but Rizzi managed all rapids with such mastery that everybody just enjoyed this adventure.

My wife, 15 yr old son, and I had a great time with River Captains Charlie, Rizzy, and Zach on the one day Westwater Canyon rafting trip. Charlie was our raft's oarsman/guide and provided good instruction, lots of local history and knowledge, and had a great sense of humor. It was the first real rafting trip for my wife and son and the Class III and IV rapids and fantastic scenery on the Westwater made it a very memorable part of our vacation.Cheering the bachelor party crew as they fought their way out of the Room of Doom and the drenching we got in the holes of Last Chance were highlights. The entire team at Adrift is very well organized and professional.
