Zach and Andrew gave us an awesome ride! We hit some sweet rapids but still felt safe with the littles.

We had a wonderful afternoon floating the Colorado River with our guide, Z. The trip itself is relaxing and paddling is optional. The rapids are small and there is plenty of time to jump out of the boat and swim along with the boats. It’s a great trip for kids, who will get a few moments of thrill and lots of time to enjoy splashing around. For most people, the red cliffs and canyons are the real star of the show. The seven mile stretch is breathtaking and, with the ride being so mellow, you have plenty of time to appreciate your surroundings. For us, the highlight was Z. She was a great guide with a lot to say. Talking to her made the trip so much better. I left feeling a tremendous amount of respect for Z and a slight bit of envy that my path in life didn’t lead me to the rivers when I was younger. All in all, I really recommend this trip and Mild to Wild, in general. The only thing I will say is that this particular trip was the “mild” part. More experienced rafters who want a more adrenaline-filled adventure may want to look at some of the other trips that they offer.
