Moab Rappeling Adventure: Medieval Chamber Slot Canyon

Overview

Guests will hike their way on the rock fins towards drainages and canyons that lead to two rappels. The first rappel sends visitors into the slot canyon, Medieval Chamber. Rappelling through this canyon displays the beautiful layers of sandstone that have been dispersed over millions of years. The canyon then opens up to make way for the second rappel. This unique free hanging rappel is a breathtaking 120 feet next to Morning Glory Natural Bridge. The bridge measures 243 feet in width, making it one of the longest natural land bridges in the United States. Once at the bottom visitors are able to enjoy the scenic hike Grandstaff Canyon towards the Colorado River.

Our canyonering excursion was a great adventure. Loved the small group and we got lucky and completely avoided crowds with the afternoon timeframe. Nate, our guide was excellent and able to talk my nervous daughter through step by step for a sucessful rappel. The hike out along the creek was beautiful. Would definitely recommend Paddle Moab and would book with them again.
