Jenna was very nice and actually called us when we went to the wrong address for meetup. She also took us to our car at the end of the tour, which was very nice. However, she didn’t really know much about the locations, food or wine. She didn’t ask us what kinds of wines we liked at all, and at the first stop, we were given some meatballs with a Moscato. There was no discussion about why we went to the restaurant we went to, why Moscato was paired with meatballs or what the relevance of any of it was. To her credit, when we told her we did not like sweet wines, she did ask the restaurant to change the Moscato out for a dry wine. When I asked her about the pairing, she just said that they were favorites. We asked her a couple of questions about downtown Saint Augustine, and she really didn’t have any answers. At some point a random guy got into the front seat with her and started sharing us some stories about his experiences in Saint Augustine. We didn’t really know his role or why he was there. She didn’t take us up to the Castillo, although the description said that we would do that. There was a stop at a wine and cheese shop that was delightful, because the owner of the shop was really nice and helpful. I’ve done food tours all over the world, and the tour guide usually comes in with us to the restaurant and talks us through the food, and then takes care of the restaurant staff as well. She stayed outside, which also felt very strange. There really wasn’t very much food, so all in all , it didn’t really feel worth the money.

Folks (2 at first, then 1 just disappeared) were quite nice. They actually picked us up at our hotel that was .3 miles from the meeting place because one of the party had a hip injury that day. Very accommodating! But it really was not as advertised certainly: "Wine tasting and Food Pairing". We did get plenty of wine at 3 locales, but only a very small charcuterie board for the food at the 2nd of the places, and a piece of flan at the 3rd place. The description says: "There is enough food on our Tasting Tours to make a meal for most. We recommend a late breakfast, a very light lunch or even no lunch prior to your tour." We took them at their word and only had protein bars for lunch. With the first two tastings of wines, we probably each had the equivalent of 3 and a half full pours. At the last place (3rd - not the "4-5" mentioned in the description), we didn't have wine. It was a coffee martini. Tasty, but not wine. There REALLY needed to be more protein, not only because that it what was advertised and what we paid for, but it's actually irresponsible to give that much to folks without more food involved. It says three hours in the description but we only got 2 actually. There was really hardly any information given about the history of St. Augustine. No "A visit to the Castillo de San Marcos (outside fort grounds)" that's mentioned in the description. No "Discover local history and fascinating insights from your guide." This group might well be new to the business but they need to actually DO what they've written up so nicely in the description and what they gladly take your money for, or change that description because it's mostly just plain wrong. Reads good, but is for the most part, false. We did enjoy our driver, and tipped appropriately We enjoyed where we went and what we had, but it should have been MUCH better.

Serendipity Tours is proud of our many consistent outstanding Google reviews which can also be referenced. Although we happily accommodate special requests with reasonable notice it is NOT customary for customers to “change our planned schedule including tour arrival/departure stops just minutes before the tour begins as the case here, as such will certainly affect not only your tour and our intended route to see and explain the history of sites advertised but respectfully is not fair to other patrons and their bookings and start times as well. As advertised there is enough food pairing on our WINE Tours to make a meal for most typical appetites as food is paired at each of the several stops (including dessert too) with the generous supply of wine tastings as acknowledged by this reviewer. We thank our guide’s kindness/willingness to call management just minutes before the tour started (which the reviewer here references as “disappeared” AFTER accommodating/resolving their last minute pickup issue) to accommodate a non-standard personal door to door hotel pick up AND drop off this reviewer required. It should be clear that we have a published starting location that our patrons are respectfully instructed to meet us where we offer free parking which allows for the full tour guided experience and ability for our guides to convey the rich history of Saint Augustine without the route being compromised. All tours are published/advertised to be between 2-3 hours with an average tour time of typically 2 1/2 hours which this reviewer including their very special accommodation had and all patrons should expect. A nonstandard last minute “door to door” hotel pick up and drop is not offered and if insisted minutes before the tour, would logically affect the time/route/experience as we need to stay on schedule for all of our patrons to enjoy the full experience. To be clear, a martini was offered as a non-standard option for this reviewer’s dessert pairing however, it is recommended and most of our patrons choose wine to be paired and consistent with their experience for an advertised wine tour.

Excellent time, the places we went to were all fantastic. The service was friendly and quick. I will definitely take another tour with them
