Your tour begins when you meet your guide in Sedona and strap yourself into a trusty Jeep for a wild desert adventure. When everyone is settled, ascend a 100-year-old wagon trail to the edge of the Colorado Plateau, and cruise along Bear Wallow Canyon, taking in mesmerizing views of red rock cliffs juxtaposed with winding highways.

As you climb 2,000 feet (607 meters) in elevation toward the peak of Mogollon Rim, you'll see three contrasting ecological zones that your guide will explain in captivating detail. Marvel at the natural diversity that makes Arizona such a special part of the country, including natural landmarks like iconic Snoopy Rock, Merry-Go-Round Rock, Munds Mountain Wilderness and Mitten Ridge Wilson Mountain.

The scenery is amazing! This is an adventure we would never have taken in our own car. The jeep is great and handles the rough dirt road well. The guide (Doc) was fun, informative and diligent as a driver. We stopped several times for pictures and at the top to a light climb to an overlook. I highly recommend the tour with Safari. And be aware, the dirt road is very rough. Be prepared for some bouncing around. Thank you Doc, for one of the highlights of our Sedona adventure!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour! We did it after 3pm so we saw the most beautiful sunset over Sedona and it was the highlight of our trip. Very bumpy but totally worth it. Take a coat because as soon as that sun sets it gets cold although they did have blankets and heaters for us. Lea was out guide and she was awesome! She answered all of our hundreds of questions and was so knowledgeable about Sedona and AZ. We got the BEST family photos at the top when the sun was setting. Lea was a great photographer.
