Morning Walks With High Sierra Pack Goats

Overview

You will be hiking with six adult goats who will be wearing saddles and panniers, and one young goat who is in training. They will carry your jacket if you get too hot, and will carry your water for you too! Come and enjoy this unique tour while you walk with High Sierra Pack Goats. You will be walking for an hour and a half through quiet neighborhoods and out into a view of the Sierra Nevada. Enjoy the silly personalities of each goat as you get to know them. You will have a favorite goat by the end of the walk. Guaranteed!

Jodie was amazing as she educated us on each goat and what to expect from them. Beautiful scenery and pictures by Jodie after we got out of neighborhood. She was attentive and consciousness of our walk with the goats. A must do adventure if you are looking for something g unique to experience!

Good Saturday morning 'exercise'. Was able to walk with a cadre of 7 pack goats for about 2 hours, mostly on the roadway. Jodie (owner/guide) was friendly and informative, and the walk was relatively easy. Spent a little time "on the trail" and catching a glimpse of the kids in their preferred environment. Would look to take the other tours i.e. hiking with these friendly animals in a more scenic setting. Would recommend this introduction as a starting point to pack goats and hiking.

That was fun! The walk itself was not taxing. All 7 goats were extremely cute and fun to hang around with. I went with my kids, who thanked me extensively for finding this. My only problem was that I didn't load up enough goat treats before the walk, and just had to resort to petting them - which they seemed to enjoy as well.
