What To Expect

Desert Adventures

First stop to our shop in Boulder City for check in and paperwork. Guests are fitted with equipment and any last minute purchases are made.

River Mountain Loop Trail

Starting point is along the River Mountain Trailhead in Boulder City. A stop to Hemenway Park to view Bighorn Sheep is always on the itinerary. Continue biking towards Lake Mead. Path leaves neighborhoods and heads off into the Mohave Desert. Make a stop at the Lake Mead Visitor Center.

Brief stop here for a break.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

On hotter days we may go down to the lake for a dip in the water. Otherwise, you will be riding along the Railroad Tunnel Trail with great views of the lake at every turn. Travel through no less than 5 tunnels to the Hoover Dam.

Hoover Dam

Here, you'll have plenty of time to explore the Visitor's Center, take the Discovery Tour (USD 11.00, payable at the Hoover Dam) and admire the Colorado River. Enjoy a picnic lunch before packing up the bikes and gear and head back to Las Vegas!

We travelled in April and decided to schedule the mountain bike tour to the Hoover Dam. Neil, our tour guide was amazing. We also had the privilege of having Gabe, who was in training to be a mountain bike guide. Both gentlemen were knowledgeable of the history of the area and geological terrain. My 17 year old son, who is a History enthusiast, found the guides informative. Totally recommend this tour.

I looked like a great option to see around Las Vegas and Dam. But the date I booked was changed, they asked me and I accepted the change. And then the tour was cancel for bad weather.

Hi Jimena, It is very disappointing when a tour is cancelled due to weather. Your well being is in our best interest, and on rare occasion we must make the hard decision to cancel for safety reasons. The winds were gusting at 50 mph on Monday which is not good for biking in the open, unprotected areas of the River Mountain Trail. We hope that you will come see us the next time you are in town and that the weather cooperates!

Luke and Flip were excellent guides. They made our ride fun. I think they were as excited as we were when we rode over the dam. Lunch was good also. I really enjoyed eating in the park and seeing the herd of big horn sheep.
