Mountain Sunrise Hike and Meditation in Palm Springs

Overview

A sunrise meditation hike along the San Jacinto Mountains steps from Palm Springs to a resting spot with dramatic views of the Coachella Valley. You'll watch the sun rise over Indian Canyons and come together in guided meditation setting a grounded intention for the day.

We'll greet each other at the South Lykken trailhead. As we hike the trail about a mile to our meditation spot, we'll listen to the natural beauty of Oswitz Canyon. I'll lead you through a grounding meditation to help you set your intention for the day, acknowledging your connection to the Earth and the universe.

Guests will walk away with stunning photos. Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, you'll have a grounded connection to the environment, a clear mind, and an open heart. We will hear the sounds of the earth. We will see the colors of the planet. We will breathe the essence of being. We will see the universe in motion. The morning sun will expose our shadows. If the stars agree, we will see big horn sheep.

At the beginning of the hike we were star gazing and you could not see the mountain you were going to climb. Then everything started to get some light and you could see all the colors from punk to orange to yellow coming down the mountains as the sun was coming up. The guide. Tim is very experienced on this trail and constantly made sure I was okay. The grounding meditation was new to me, but I was able to visualize what Tim was saying and felt it moving through all of my Chakra points. What a new experience this was. I highly this tour with Tim. Just a great way to start your day 😊

From the reservation to the end of the hike, Tim was attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, and punctual. We went to Palm Springs in the last week of July, and because of the heat, it wasn't possible for us to hike during the day. To see the sunrise, we needed to meet Tim at 4:40 am, but it was totally worth waking up early. We enjoyed listening to him about how palm trees and big horn sheep survive during the drought season, how those dried plants produce beautiful scents when they are wet, and how the mountains change their colors as the sun rises. The meditation was time to examine ourselves with nature. Thank you Tim for the wonderful experience!

This morning hike was enjoyable. Tim met me at the trailhead and was very friendly and in tune with the surrounding and energy. The Lykkon trail is easy to navigate, only requires a bottle of water, and easy parking nearby. It was great to enjoy the vistas and a grounding mediation facilitiated by Tim. Tim was very courteous about time, and helpful information to enjoy more of Palm Springs. Don't miss this!
