My friend and I had a long weekend in Portland and I had been before, he had not. I wanted to show him how scenic the PDX area is, and I found the company and it’s stellar reviews right here on TripAdvisor. I booked 3 tours: the City Tour and Falls/Gorge/Mt. Hood tour which we had with Peter. The 3rd tour was the Wine Tasting tour with Peter’s dad, Pete. The City tour included the downtown core, the Rose Test Garden and the Pittock Mansion. We asked Peter to take us to the White Stag neon sign and he happily obliged. I will mention here that I booked online and paid for all 3 tours and got immediate and detailed confirmations. We were in contact with Peter as our tour dates neared and he and his dad were both spot on time at our downtown hotel to pick us up in comfy luxury SUVs. Water was also provided. They both took the time to see what interested us and planned accordingly. The Falls/Mt. Hood tour is an all day tour which includes multiple waterfalls with of course Multnomah Falls the last stop before lunch in Hood River. Peter gave us great restaurant recommendations. Soon after we made the long climb up to Timberline Lodge more than half way up Mt. Hood. We had multiple photo op stops to catch awesome pics on a stunning sunny day. All the while Peter is a fountain of area information. You can tell he is very proud of Oregon! We were allowed to walk through the Lodge before heading back to Portland. The last tour was a half day wine tasting trip around the Willamette Valley vineyards with Pete. We were able to fit in 4 stops with 4-5 tastings at each stop. A yummy charcuterie board was included at Laurel Ridge. Chocolates were served along with a port at Torii Mor. I can’t recommend Oregon Tour Company highly enough. They are true professionals with a passion for showing off Portland and Oregon!

We ended up with a private tour with Pete and he even went out of his way to pick us up at our hotel which isn't located downtown. Such an informative and knowledgeable guide. The tour was awesome and we went to many beautiful sights all in a day. It was an interesting and awesome experience.

When visiting Portland we took the all-day Mt. Hood/Gorge Waterfall Tour with Pete. What an awesome way to spend a day, which was filled with beautiful sites: Columbia Gorge, waterfalls, Mt. Hood River, Mt. Hood, and even some stops that most tours wouldn’t include. At every location, Pete shared many interesting facts. It’s clear that he knows quite a lot about the area and loves giving tours. Pete made us feel very comfortable; the conversation flowed and the day went quickly. If we’re ever in Portland again, we’ll definitely use the Oregon Tour Company. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.
