We had a wonderful tour of the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood. Our tour guide was the owner/guide, Peter, and he was terrific. Being a local resident he was able to give a lot of information and history of the places we passed and stopped at on the tour. We stopped at several waterfalls and the Vista House along the way to the Bonneville Dam/Locks and fish ladder area. From there we headed to the town of Hood River for a lunch break and then we proceeded up to the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. The lodge is a beautiful, old facility with wonderful displays of wood, iron and masonry craftsmanship. It was a full day of beautiful scenery and pleasant conversation.
