Mt. St. Helens National Monument from Seattle: All-Inclusive Small-Group Tour

Overview
Explore Mt. St. Helens on a day tour tailored to you. Our local, TripAdvisor 'Hall of Fame' guides have been 'Certified Excellent' every year since 2010!

Walk along the blast-swept Eruption Trail with panoramic views of the devastation and the mountain’s crater. You may even glimpse a herd of Roosevelt elk! You’ll also have time to explore the Johnston Ridge Visitor Center.

What makes our tours most unique is that no two are the same! Our guides craft itineraries that reflect the best of what the Park has to offer that day. We’ll offer stops at some of our other favorite highlights like Coldwater Lake or the Hummocks Trail. This isn’t just another driving tour of a beautiful landscape - we prefer to keep travelers outside the vehicle for walks to experience our places firsthand.

Our all-inclusive small-group day trip is limited to just 10 travelers. We'll bring a local, organic, family-style lunch and eat outside when it's nice! Don’t worry about a thing!

What a great way to spend a day seeing some of the beautiful landscapes outside of Seattle! Our guide, Mal, was awesome! She was friendly, knowledgeable and made it a fun trip. She also provided great restaurant recommendations when our dinner reservations hit a glitch--thanks, Mal. (Din Tai Fung was yummy!) One thing I really appreciated is that the long drive to Mt. St. Helens was broken up into smaller segments with multiple stops at nature preserves along the way, so it didn't feel like a 3+ hour drive. I'm not the most outdoorsy person, but I enjoyed our nature walks and hikes and learned a lot on this tour. I would definitely recommend this for anyone. This was one of my favorite Seattle experiences.

Thank you for sharing your tour experience! That drive to Mount St. Helens can be a doozy, so I'm glad to hear breaking it up made it much more manageable. Also glad to hear you enjoyed your time visiting our outdoor, natural spaces. Even if you aren't an outdoorsy person, getting outside and connecting with nature really does have an impact. Hope to see you again on another great tour! Cheers, DJ Bergquist Guest Experience & Sales Manager | Evergreen Escapes

Just Wow. I was expecting to see barren, black rock but Mt. St. Helen's is a testament to Nature's recovery. Our tour guide, Nate, was awesome! He is a naturalist and went over the whole scenario of what happened leading up to the eruption, which people were expecting but not the actual force, and what happened afterwards. Mt. St. Helens is huge, we were 7 miles away in the observatory and it looked so much closer. In addition to Mt. St Helens the trip also included a trip to a nature preserve and a small hike through an old growth forest. There we saw trees 300-500 years old, it was amazing. Then we had a picnic at Coldwater Lake. Nate was knowledgeable about historic facts as well as the trees and wildflowers - it made a big difference! It was a full day and totally worth it.

Thanks for sharing, Diane! I personally love that experience of feeling so small in comparison to the towering Mount St. Helens - it really is awe inspiring. Glad to hear you had a great time exploring and learning about the area from Nate! Cheers, DJ | Evergreen Escapes
