Muir Woods and Sausalito Small-Group Tour

Overview

This small-group tour will take you across the Golden Gate Bridge to walk among old-growth coast redwoods of the famous Muir Woods National Monument Park. Visit the beautiful seaside Mediterranean style City of Sausalito and discover some of the most beautiful house boats in the world, where a hippie community took residence in the 70's.

You can take an optional ferry back from Sausalito for a beautiful 30 minute ride back to San Francisco. Tickets available for purchase on the day of the tour.

Your transportation will be in a luxury brand new 2021 Mercedes Sprinter van with only 14 passengers in total. Throughout your tour, engage in conversation with your tour guide as you learn about his experience as a San Francisco local.

Our guide Robert was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. He kept everything moving within schedule and shared many tidbits about the places we were seeing. It was a nice drive from SF to Muir Woods and to Sausalito and he had recommendations as well for where to go and what to do after the tour. We stopped for about 5-7 minutes at a nice view point for the Golden Gate Bridge for some photos. In Muir Woods, we had slightly over an hour to explore and Robert recommended the best route to take that would make sure we were back at the meeting point in time. We chose to take the ferry back from Sausalito to take advantage of the sunshine. Everything was well paced. Overall, we had a great experience with the tour.

Ramon our tour guide was great. Not enough time in Muir Woods if you are a true hiker and want to explore more off the beaten path. Our meeting location was changed last minute. If you book the afternoon tour the location is not accurate on trip advisor.
