Known for its towering old-growth redwood trees. Trails wind among the trees to Cathedral Grove and Bohemian Grove, and along Redwood Creek. The primeval home to old growth Coastal Redwoods, some at least 1,200 years old. The tallest is 258 feet high. We optimize the time you spend on the trails of Coastal Redwoods by arriving before the crowds. You’ll spend 1.5 hours (or more!) enjoying California’s native flora and fauna, taking in giant ferns, moss-lined creeks, fresh bay leaf-scented air from the many Laurel trees and squirrels, blue jays and deer if you’re lucky.

After doing research on all the tour companies in San Francisco, we finally decided on Extranomical Tours. Bookings and payments were done quickly. As per their confirmation note, please call them to confirm the tours, just in case there are changes - there was a time change on our tour due to the new rules at Muir Woods. Don, our driver/ tour guide picked us up on time outside of our hotel. We could not have asked for a better guide, he has a wealth of information with regards to everything San Francisco. We had plenty of time to spend in Muir Woods - it was a lifelong dream of my husband to see the Redwoods , and it was everything and more when we got there - words dont do justice to actually being there. included in this tour was the Golden Gate Bridge and a lunch stop at Sausalito. Do yourself a favor and book this tour with Extranomical Tours.

Hotel concierge accidentally booked us with 2 tour companies. When 2nd company showed ahead of time it's too late to find out about the honest mistake. When we asked to be refunded for cost of unrendered services we were turned down. We feel ripped off.

Enjoyed Muir Woods. The tees were amazing had just enough time to cover the main trail and hillside trail. Tour guide was awesome, very knowledgeable and informative.
