The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there.
2
Golden Gate Bridge
Photo stop overlooking bridge and city. The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
3
San Francisco Bay
San Francisco Bay is a shallow estuary in the US state of California. It is surrounded by a contiguous region known as the San Francisco Bay Area (often simply "the Bay Area"), and is dominated by the large cities of San Jose, San Francisco and Oakland.
4
Marin Headlands
A hilly peninsula at the southernmost end of Marin County, located just north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge, which connects the two counties and peninsulas. Part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and famous for their views of the Bay Area, especially of the Golden Gate Bridge.
5
Muir Woods National Monument
Known for its towering old-growth redwood trees. Trails wind among the trees to Cathedral Grove and Bohemian Grove, and along Redwood Creek. The primeval home to old growth Coastal Redwoods, some at least 1,200 years old. The tallest is 258 feet high. We optimize the time you spend on the trails of Coastal Redwoods by arriving before the crowds. You’ll spend 1.5 hours (or more!) enjoying California’s native flora and fauna, taking in giant ferns, moss-lined creeks, fresh bay leaf-scented air from the many Laurel trees and squirrels, blue jays and deer if you’re lucky.
6
sausalito Home Boats
Lunch Stop in Sausalito. Sausalito is a city in Marin County across the Golden Gate Strait from San Francisco, known for its Richardson Bay houseboat enclaves, built by artist squatters after WWII. The Sausalito floating home community consists of more than 400 houseboats.

The weather was beautiful and the area was very clean and I felt the time allotted was sufficient. But I was told I could bring my dog if it was a service dog but was not allowed once I got to the Muir location. It needs to be explained in more detail what type of service dogs are allowed. I had to leave my do with the tour guide on the bus. The tour guide was very nice and helpful

Sorry to hear about your experience. For readers of your review, allow me to clarify. Extranomical is fine with either service dogs or emotional support animals on our tours. The national park in Muir Woods, however, does not allow "emotional support animals" in the park to avoid incidents. We will try to make that more clear on our website. Thanks for the review!

I booked a Muir Woods/Sausalito tour with Extranomical tours because it appeared to be a smaller tour, not a large tour bus. A day or two before the tour I got an email saying we would be on a Gray Line bus, their sister company. I specifically did not want a large bus. In the end, it turned out fine because the Gray Line bus driver, Joe (I think) did a good job. Muir Woods is absolutely beautiful so I’m glad we went. You can just about see the basics in 1 1/2 hours but another 30 min would be better. We found a great bistro for lunch that I highly recommend. I took off 2 stars for the tour company not being honest and upfront.

We wish our guests could spend more time in Muir Woods but this national park has a limit of 90 minutes so that as many people as possible can enjoy the impressive Coastal Redwood trees. Glad you had a good day end the end. All the best!

Walking between the trees. Great driver. He knew a lot of details of area. Negative was initial fellow that handed out tickets. Also confusion of where I was supposed to be picked up.
