What To Expect

Golden Gate Bridge

The tour departs at 07:40 AM, 10:40 AM, or 01:40 PM (depending on the selected option) from Union Square or Fisherman’s Wharf (depending on your departure time). For the bus tour, a comfortable bus will transport you across the famous Golden Gate Bridge and head towards Muir Woods. For the bike tour, you will start from Bay City Bike Store at 2661 Taylor St, San Francisco, CA 94133, where you'll receive your bike and begin your journey towards the bridge. See the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, soaking in breathtaking panoramic views of the bay, city skyline, and the Pacific Ocean.

Muir Woods National Monument

After departure, the bus will take you directly to Muir Woods National Monument, where you will have 90 minutes to explore the ancient redwood forest. You will enjoy a peaceful walk through the towering redwoods, taking in the serene beauty of the park. The Bike Tour does not visit Muir Woods first. Instead, Sausalito is visited first, followed by a bus ride to Muir Woods. Step into a magical forest of towering Giant Redwoods (Sequoia Sempervirens) that have stood for centuries. Take in the serene beauty of the ancient trees as you walk along the trails, enjoying 90 minutes to immerse yourself in the tranquility of this national treasure.

Sausalito

After exploring Muir Woods, the bus will take you to Sausalito, a picturesque waterfront town. You will have time to explore local shops, cafes, galleries, and the charming Mediterranean-style village. If you choose the Bike Tour, after riding across the Golden Gate Bridge, you will arrive in Sausalito. After your visit to Sausalito, you will leave your bikes there and hop on a comfortable bus that will transport you to the breathtaking Muir Woods National Park. The bus will pick you up at 2:30 PM from 599 Humboldt Ave (the corner of Humboldt and Bay St).

Alcatraz Island

For the MW Tour: if an hour in Sausalito isn't sufficient for you, you can extend your visit and return to San Francisco by ferry (if you choose this option). If you prefer to return by bus, simply relax on our comfortable buses, and we'll transport you back to San Francisco to conclude this memorable day. We'll drop you off at the same departure locations. For the Bike Tour, conclude your day's adventure with a scenic ferry ride back to San Francisco (don’t forget to pick up your bike from Sausalito!). Enjoy stunning views of Alcatraz Island and the skyline as you glide across the water. The Sausalito ferry ride takes approximately 20 minutes, returning you to Pier 41 in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf, where you will return your bike to the same bike store in San Francisco where you began the tour.

Delightful trip. We truly enjoyed the experience. We were not rushed, had plenty of time to see everything. So nice to have someone else drive us around San Francisco! Bus driver was informative and quite friendly which added to the experience. Would certainly recommend this trip. Made good memories that will last a long time!

The driver of the coach was very rude and didn’t provide us with return ferry tickets. So we had to pay again! Trip wasn’t worth the money !

Great trip! Muir Woods is beautiful and the bus ride was quick and easy across the bridge. Even my 15 year old daughter enjoyed the trip. We stayed in Sausalito and took the ferry back after having a delicious lunch and ice cream. Definitely would recommend to those wanting to explore outside SF
