Overview
Take time out from San Francisco on a half-day trip to Muir Woods National Park and Sausalito.

This enthralling half-day trip takes you across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Area's most popular National Park Monument to experience the magnificent views of the Giant redwoods during a 90' stop (entrance fee included).

Next, visit the beautiful coastal town of Sausalito, a gorgeous Mediterranean-style village with quaint shops and waterfront restaurants. If a one-hour stop in Sausalito isn't enough for you, you can extend your stay by upgrading your tour to include the Sausalito ferry back to San Francisco.

If you decide to come back by bus and are looking for possibilities to complete your other half-day, we offer you an upgraded option to save money, which includes a 4h Bike rental package from our partner Unlimited Biking (757 Beach Street, San Francisco, CA 94109). We had only two days to be in SF with my brother and his wife. We booked this 10:30 tour to include the ferry ride from Sausalito back to SF. The tour guide was informative on the entire ride! He pointed out many interesting things as he drove through the city. He stopped along the path for pics but it was too foggy. The fog lifted quickly! The 90 minutes in Muir Woods flew by as we walked the main trail and took many pics as we marveled at the beautiful trees! As we arrived in Sausalito, the driver recommended pineapple margaritas, so we followed this tip and found delicious Mexican food there too! We walked on the docks to look at the yachts, and took our time taking pics of the beautiful scenery. When our ferry dropped us off near Fishermanā€™s Wharf, we took a ride on a cable car- my brother was asked to ring the bell! A great time for my first visit to SF!
