However, the talented guides' intriguing stories of spirits will keep you enthralled, and they will point out the best places for ghost pics from your vantage point viewing the locations from the outside.

It was just a history tour about the city.... I was expecting more stories about death and murder but really the tour guide spent the over half the tour talking about a flood, it was a waste of money in my opinion...... Not to mention it was pouring rain (flash flood) which I know they can't help it....But at the same time I was hoping for some really spooky stories.... There guide only told 3 about a hotel, the hospital and courthouse..... But here the thing the tour is almost 2 hours .... I'm just bummed because I picked this tour because they had so many good reviews.....

Hello Rene. I'm sorry to hear the tour was not what you were expecting. I have to note, however, that Jason has been with me four years, has gotten a ton of 5 star reviews, and yours is only the second bad review he has ever gotten, the first being from a lady who did not read the description and was upset that she had to walk and also that that tour did not go inside any buildings (though the description said it was a walking tour and that that tour did not go inside any buildings, only the deluxe tours did). However, on YOUR tour, due to a recent policy change, you DID get to go inside at the Read House. Plus other guests on your same tour enjoyed it a lot. Which lead me to wonder why your review would be so different from everyone else's. I DID hear from others that you had to spend a good bit of time attending to your children, whose behavior was demanding a lot of attention. I can only think that they may account for your lack of enjoyment, along with your incorrect description, as I know for a fact Jason tells more than three stories on his tour. I am sorry you did not have a good time.

Enjoyed this tour with my 2 teenage kids! We loved it!! So much history and information about all the ghosts and spirits lurking around Chattanooga! My daughter had an encounter that was really interesting!! Not knowing we were walking up to the Newell medical building (never even heard of it before) and she suddenly felt a “shot” needle like sensation in her upper left arm into her shoulder joint. Once we fully approached the building our guide Jessica started explaining the history of the building and it made sense why my daughter felt that sensation in her arm! Crazy!! I have a couple of pictures from another building that I can see an image of a face with hallowed out eyes that I need to send to the owner to take a look at. In the second photo I immediately took the image of the face is not visible! My daughter captured an interesting image of a figure resembling a person as well that we will email. Our guide Jessica was very knowledgeable and informative! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

Hey Sandra, I'm so glad you all had a great time. That is wild about what happened, but it is not the first time we've heard things like that. The ghosts at the sanitarium are generally not harmful (hopefully the shot sensation was light and not painful!), but before the owners just obliterated it (they had tried various measures to contain their ghosts with no success; I guess this was a last resort!), we had had a couple of people that got scratched at our underground location, after making fun of the ghosts there (which we always warned people not to do). One was a teenager whose parents sent me a photo of the scratch, absolutely delighted that their family had encountered a spirit in such a physical way, lol! I am so pleased to hear you had a great time with Jessica.
