We did not get to go because of weather, the owner was so nice and totally refunded the whole amount without any issues. Bought and had her sign her book, which I started reading.

I reached out to the tour to ask if they could provide something in writing for someone in our group who is deaf. they refused, stating that they fear that someone might try to reproduce their material. because I would through the trouble of having an out if state bachelorette party, include a person who is legitimately deaf, just to "steal their material". I asked if they could provide a single copy, that was handed to said person at the start of tour and returned at the end, they didn't even bother to respond to that email. good job on making sure your tour is inclusive for all individuals. don't have to worry about us stealing your material as I will never patron your establishment again. 🤙

I am sorry that you feel that way, but would like to clarify what happened. I did respond to your first email immediately, even though we usually ask people to call to contact because I do not check email frequently; I just happened to see that one right after you wrote it. I also responded to your second email, but not as promptly for the reason I set out. You said one of your party was hard of hearing (you did not say deaf) and asked me to give you the copy of our tour script. I explained that, because we have in the past had someone surreptiously tape our tour and attempt to repeat our tour word for word, we do not give our script to anyone, even to be handed back, because it could be quickly and easily photographed. I also explained that we do try to accommodate disabilities, we have taken several groups with various disabilities and adapted the tour for them, that we had in fact recently arranged a tour for an entire group of deaf people, and that we have accommodated interpreters and routes. I also suggested a copy of our book Haunted Chattanooga, which had a version of several of the stories on the tour, though written by my co-author, so that she would be aware before you reached tour sites of the story and could enjoy observing the site with everyone else, which actually generally works better than trying to follow along a script as someone reads it. You did not bother to respond to my suggestions at all, and instead simply wrote this review. I have always tried to go out of my way to accommodate disabilities, have in fact done considerable work in the disability community, and am sorry that you are upset that I would not simply hand over the script I worked on for months to you.

I purchased two tickets through the “love Chattanooga” auction in 2020 but by the time I called to reserve a tour the certificate had expired. I called and spoke with Amy and she fixed everything. We did our tour last night and had a great time. Jason was our tour leader and he did an excellent job and is extremely knowledgeable about Chattanooga. We live 30 minutes from downtown and have driven past several of the buildings in the past and wondered about them. The walk was very easy and temps were in the low 80’s and cloudy. Free parking is abundant in the area and their’s paid parking as well. Great job Amy and Jason!
