We had a reservation at 11 AM and we encountered what apperared to be a school trip full of teens. It was very stressful as they did not stop screaming, ran from one place to another, and crowded every single room. Also, one of their teachers moved us out of the line so all of her students could go first (even when we arrived and entered before them into the museum). There were also two moms with their little kids and we were all so annoyed, they couldn't even enjoy. When having large groups, the museum should contact people to let them know about the situation and to see if they agree, we would have happily reschedule if told in advance; because when we left the place, there was a very small group of people waiting outside, we imagine they had a better time. The museum is beautiful, the staff is nice and the ice cream they serve is delicious! But should manage situations like the one we detailed better.

In light of the fact that they are making a lot of money with the prices they are charging, it would be safer for patrons if there is a limit on how many people are inside the building at any one time. I went with my wife and 2 children, ages 3 and 11. We all got sick with Covid after that. How did I know we got the virus at the museum? Very simple, that was the only place we went to (for several days before and several days after.) We did NOT go anywhere else. And yes, we were wearing masks, but how do you sample ice cream with a mask on? You know what I mean? I'm never doing something like that again. Even my children regret having gone to that museum. We live 80 miles from NYC. We always have visitors from out of town staying over and going to NYC. They always ask us what are good places to go and see and we give them our recommendations. I will definitely NOT recommend the Museum of Ice Cream. Imagine paying someone so you can get sick. I know they won't care because they're making a killing. Never again.
