I really enjoyed the flag room, and the staff was really informative. The rest of the museum is quite large. There’s a lot to read but unfortunately, narrations are going on at the same time. Can get tickets on line for a little cheaper.

Washington’s War Tent is a 12-15 minute video shown every hour on the hour and it sounds dorky but is really interesting and you get to see the tent (but don’t expect a photo op, the screen comes back down before the end, sad times) Check out the website before you go to see what special exhibit they may have! The video in the beginning isn’t a necessity, but it’s nice to give you a brief overview; I believe I recalled hearing bits of it throughout the actual exhibit though! It’s not long, so give it a sit through* The main exhibit hall is upstairs and there are multiple entrances, but it’s best to start at the first one on your left when you get up the stair case (or down the hall and past the War Tent theater). I love looking at artifacts, and I felt like I would’ve liked seeing more things than all the reading and video areas, but that’s just me! It’s very interesting, and for a summer stop it was nice and cool! Honestly, my only other complaint than wanting more stuff from the war, was that I felt like the shorts in the gift shop were ridiculously over-priced!!! It’s a tee, why does it cost $40?!?

This was one of the best history experiences imaginable. Everything was well done... scope, objectivity, visual presentation and content. We spent 5 hours and got a fuller understanding of the revolution. I strongly recommend the museum for anyone that wants to understand the importance of the seminal period in the history of the USA.
