We enjoyed talking with the guides who were available throughout the Museum. They were friendly and very knowledgeable. Climbing up to go on the Morgan--whaling ship was well worth the climb. We learned lots about shipbuilding.

Fascinating history of whaling ships, schooners and life for those who stayed on shore and supported the fishing and whaling industry. We spent most of the day there and would have returned if we had the time. All of the guides were well versed in the history and ready to answer any question. That was our favorite part of visiting Mystic. Don't miss it!!!

I feel the same way about this place. Boarding the whaling ship- for me, is like stepping inside a time-machine. We are so happy you enjoyed yourselves here and hope to see you again soon! All the best, Gabe

This recreated village left us disappointed. Many of the shops were closed. The folks doing the work such as the blacksmith didnā€™t really know what they were doing. Very few ships to explore. It was July and they were filming a Lifetime movie with lots of fake snow and the movie crew rudely yelling at visitors or blocking major walkways.

Hello Larry, We were sorry to hear of your disappointment during your visit. There was alot of activity here with the filming taking place and I apologize if the film crew was rude to you. We did get some feedback from other customers about one of the the individuals and addressed the situation that afternoon. If you would like to contact me to make arrangements for a raincheck I would be happy to work things out. We have a wonderful antique car show on September 25th and other special events happening in October and December centered on the holidays. You can reach me at 860 572-0711. Kind regards, Gabe
