The Peabody Ducks

Afterward, see the famous Peabody ducks make their way down the red carpet from their fountain to the elevator as they head to bed at the lavish Peabody Hotel and learn how this unusual tradition was started.

Beale Street

Then spend about an hour on your own to explore Beale Street, famous for its blues and barbecue, or take a short stroll to the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum (admission is your own expense). Depart this lively downtown scene for the return to Nashville, with drop-off at your hotel after dark.

A truly great way to see both Memphis and Graceland when you only have a day. The driver/ guide was excellent and very professional. The coach was comfortable and speeded us to our destinations. We were treated to watching movies of Elvis on board and listen to some of his music also. Spending 4 hours at Graceland was about right and then having some time to spend in Memphis, including visiting Sun studios worked out well also, I even managed to visit he famous Peabody hotel and catch the march of the ducks!

Everything ran to a well communicated time table, and gave good time at all places. Driver was informative, and played Elvis films to help the journey pass, and he also organised all tickets and passes making life easy, All in all it was a great day - thank you.

This was a long day but so glad we did it. Graceland was simply amazing and loved seeing all the Elvis history, it was well documented and preserved. Seeing his home exactly as he left it was sad but so worth the trip. Don't pass up this tour simply because it's a long day. After Graceland we went to Sun Studios which holds so much history of the artists who recorded there. Next was Beale Street. The food at the Blue's City Cafe was worth the wait. Highly recommend eating there. All in all, it was a long but very memorable day!
