The trail can be a bit muddy and slick after/during a rain. Part of the trail is fairly steep. The trail was fairly crowded with a variety of ages participating in the hike. The actual waterfall had a minimal amount of water however when we were there.

First visit in years. In both cases, it looks like rain. Even if Waikiki is sunny, it's cloudy here. The view from the mountains is soothing everywhere. Bug repellent is a must. The soil is muddy, so your shoes will get dirty. Sometimes I see barefoot, perhaps because the stones are sloppy and slippery. It's easier to climb than Diamond Rock, but it's harder to wear your favorite shoes.

We went on a rainy day on December 20th with the handsome young guide Daisuke as our guide. It was raining so hard that the path felt like climbing a valley, but the waterfall was incredibly powerful, high, and amazing. The scenery along the way was also amazing. Maybe because of the rain, there were lots of negative ions. The office we stopped at on the way there was clean, everyone was friendly, and there was a wide selection of souvenirs. I recommend it. Thanks to our driver, Machair, too.
