Overview

Enjoy the spectacular beauty of New England’s coastal towns on a private day-trip from Boston. You will be picked up by your private, driver guide at your Boston hotel, before departing for Cape Ann, where you will have the chance to tour several of the Cape’s fishing towns. Explore Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport, and stop for a fresh seafood lunch in one of the towns. Then, your tour continues to Salem, with tales of the famous witch trials of the late seventeenth century. Lastly, you’ll visit Marblehead, where the US navy was said to be born. Your driver guide will drop you off in Boston, where you can be taken back to your hotel or somewhere central in the city.

What To Expect

Cape Ann

Drive along Boston’s North Shore to Cape Ann: Visit several of the Cape’s quaint towns, including Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport. Enjoy time to explore each of their idyllic main streets and enjoy lunch in one of the towns, at a place of your guide’s recommendation.

Salem

Continue on to historic Salem, where you’ll have time to explore the town made famous by the Witch Trials of the 1690’s. On your way back to Boston, visit in Marblehead – where the US Navy is alleged to have begun.

We had an excellent day of touring the North Shore with Martin. He picked us up from our hotel and made us feel welcome the moment we stepped into his van. His pleasant personality and historical knowledge were a plus, as he shared information about all of the towns we visited from Salem to Rockport. We stopped for a great lunch at Woodman’s of Essex and had time to explore, browse shops and stop for photos along our trip up the coast. He even made dinner reservations for us later that evening. I would highly recommend talking a tour with Martin.
