what a treat it was to spend 2 hours w our very personable, knowledgeable and joyful guide Pauline! instead of showing us the usual tourist spots and stories, she focused on the beautiful, and unusual architecture of the garden district...it was a very informative and delightful tour, one that i would highly recommend

Admittedly, I am not a fan of group tours and am more interested in seeing buildings from the inside than out. But I would take/recommend this small group and well paced tour without hesitation. The tour moves quickly and is pack filled with so many interesting facts and things to see. Our knowledgeable guide (and tour operator), Katrina kept all of us engaged throughout and made it 2 hours well spent. Many will recommended going to the Garden District for its' diverse mix of homes and a nice break from the more crowded tourist areas. Consider this tour a "must" way to see the area. Understanding the cultural, environmental and social influences behind the different architectural styles will bring you appreciation to a whole new level. Adding history, celebrity bits, and lots of fun along the way... this tour has no filler. (I also recommend taking the St Charles trolley as the tour starts/ends two blocks from the Washington Ave stop...and time permitting, a few blocks farther down Washington Ave is Magazine Street for a bit of shopping/dining)

Plus, it was fun to see a few celebrity owned homes. This was a great way to learn more about this fascinating city.
