Join us on this guided tour through the most unique city in America, in the best possible way to explore it...on a bicycle. The Heart of the City is a 3 hour exploration of the 5 most historic neighborhoods of New Orleans. The trek will shed light on New Orleans' traditions and heritage. As you are guided through town and into the St. Roch Cemetery, you will learn about the city's colorful past and vibrant culture. A native New Orleanian will take you on an exploration of the historic core of the city.

  • Travelers should have a high level of physical fitness
  • All participants must be over 4'11"
  • Minimum age is 13 years
  • A maximum of 10 people per booking
  • Dress according to the weather, close toed shoes slippers with heal strap are acceptable. No flip flops allowed .
  • Wearing flip flops/sandals while riding a bicycle is hazardous and are not allowed. Wearing sandals with a heel straps are the perfect alternative.
  • If you are driving the Basin Lot at 1205 Basin St. has the best rates in the French Quarter area.
  • We are located right next door to Twelfth Night Coffee if you need coffee before the tour. They serve coffee/espresso beverages and savory croissants/pastries.

Our first stop is the Mississippi River.

Jackson Square
Get a post card view of the historic city center and learn about the role it played in establishing la ville de la Nouvelle-OrlƩans.

Faubourg Marigny
The Marigny is the oldest faubourg in the city. Get recommendations for the best music clubs in the city and learn about the cultural treasures that neighborhood conveys.

Bywater District
We will ride through this trendy neighborhood of the 9th ward while learning about the city’s rich VooDoo culture.

St. Roch and the Campo Santo
Learn about the history of burial practices at the St. Roch Cemetery.

Treme
The Treme is the first free black neighborhood in the United States.
