As your carriage departs from Jackson Square, your driver/guide will regale you with stories of the city's founding as the carriage passes through the historic French Quarter street.

We arrived 8 minutes late (due to crowds and traffic) and they refused to make any accommodation for our group. We paid $215 for 2 seats that were probably sold a second time to someone else that night. Totally ripped off... WARNING.. even if you booked a month in advance and have PAID for your ride in full, do not be late as they will not wait or make any kind of adjustment. So the 4 of us 'wasted' $430 CAD. We left NOLA very dissatisfied with ROYAL CARRIAGE TOURS.

I would love to give this a 5 star review but, we were seated in the back of the carriage and could not hear what our driver was saying. (In her defense, she did say that she was recovering from a sinus infection) It was still very interesting to see the city streets at night.

When in NOLA, I highly recommend having BOTH a walking tour and the carriage tour. We booked both types of tours that included a round in the cemetery; which allowed for two very different perspectives of the city and the cemetery. Marie, named after the voodoo queen herself was wonderful a navigating the NOLA streets and Lucy, her handler was charming. I highly recommend this tour. Would happily do it again!
