Devyn is very knowledgeable about the history of the French Quarter and its occult history. Our tour was non-stop flow of information as we strolled the streets. Its fun to make the correlation between some of our favorite shows (AHS: Coven, The Originals, Interview with the vampire). Devyn made sure to take the extra step to make that happen by filling us in with history and filming locations. The tour is fun and slightly creepy. The stops arent in the best light for photography at night. With that said the tour is recommended and if possible request Devyn as your guide.

With hundreds of options for walking tours in New Orleans picking a tour can be a shot in the dark. This tour was an excellent tour of the French Quarters with a spin on spirits, spells & voodoo. Essentially it was a history tour with an emphasis on some of the witchery of its’ day. The tour begins in a retail store and weaves in & out of the dark streets of the cobblestoned French Quarters. Our tour guide was informative, personable & opinionated about New Orleans. All great traits! While I never thought about potential drink stops along the route, there are two offered. These bars are cash-only. The informative tour was excellent for an evening walk and stopped about 6-7 stops to share history along the way. Our group was small with only 4 people, making it an intimate experience. A great to-do when visiting NOLA.

We were lucky that we were the only ones and had a private tour. Our guide, a very nice and friendly young lady (Devyne) told us a lot about the history of New Orleans and about the haunted houses in the French Quarter. We left from the Wica shop Hex where, for that matter, very interesting items were for sale. We walked around for almost 2 hours. If you ara a fan of The American horror story this tour is a must because the house where the story took place is also part of the tour. The locations that are featured in the third season, Delphine LaLaurie the serial killer. I can recommend the tour to everyone.
