The announcer was very knowledgeable, but everything was on one side of the river (the side we came from). The boat was very slow which made the trip seem long and the band played Ragtime, not jazz. They are very good, it just wasn't what I expected.

The music can go to many tags, Ragtime, Traditional Jazz, or Dixieland. It is played to match a riverboat experience. The trip back up river seems slower as the boat must endure the strong current of the Mississippi River.

I enjoyed riding on the boat but I felt like it was too long. Seats filled quickly and they weren't exactly comfortable.

There are also indoor padded seats for those who are not comfortable in the outdoor weather resistant seats.

The cruise itself was great but the kitchen crew was lacking in courtesy We got to the lunch 15 minutes early being 2nd in line yet we were one of the last to get served When I brought this up unfair perplexity to the staff they blamed us for rushing in to early so they werenā€™t prepared Actually we were instructed by the staff to come in and have a seat. This left a bad taste in my mouth at least the food served was much better than the way we were served despite paying a pretty penny for the steamboat cruise

We apologize if you felt that the staff did not communicate well, or if the service for lunch took too long. We hope you spoke to a manager on board so we could make those corrections in the moment.
