Central Park Zoo
The Central Park Zoo is home to animals from tropical, temperate, and polar regions. One of its most prominent features is the sea lion pool and tank, located in the center courtyard, which is visible from outside of the Zoo. Other exhibits feature snow leopards, grizzly bears, penguins, and more.
6
Balto Statue
One of the most beloved monuments in the park. Balto became famous after a heroic journey across Alaska. In January 1925, an outbreak of diphtheria threatened the population of the town of Nome, Alaska. Weather conditions prevented the transport of vaccines from Anchorage by plane. A relay of dog-sled teams and mushers provided the only alternative.
7
Central Park Summerstage
SummerStage is an outdoor concert and performance series organized by the City Parks Foundation. It is held on an open sports field in the park called Rumsey Playfield.
8
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir
The Reservoir is the largest water body in Central Park and one of its most popular destinations for running. A 1.58-mile track surrounds the Reservoir, often filled with runners and walkers enjoying the scenery of the water with skyline views in all directions. In addition to running, many also visit to birdwatch, as the Reservoir attracts many types of aquatic birds.
9
Belvedere Castle
One of the most iconic features in Central Park, this miniature castle is located atop the huge rock outcrop known as Vista Rock, the second highest natural point in Central Park.
10
Harlem Meer
The Harlem Meer is a water body in the northeast corner of Central Parkā€”one of the most popular destinations in the area and known for its wealth of activities and scenic beauty. A path lined with benches and various lawns along the Meerā€™s edge provide numerous spots for relaxing, picnicking, and sunbathing, as well as enjoying shoreline vegetation, wildlife, and views of the rocky bluffs to the southā€”an area known as the Fort Landscape.
11
Upper East Side
The posh, residential Upper East Side is known for its wealthy denizens, fancy restaurants and designer shops along Madison Avenue. It's a pretty neighborhood, with a mix of classic brownstones and upscale high-rises. Museum Mile, a stretch of 5th Avenue next to Central Park, draws crowds to cultural institutions that include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and El Museo del Barrio.

What an incredible experience! My 15 year old and I wanted to see Central Park but wanted to be able to stop and take pictures. Barry, our guide was amazing. We stopped all over the park, got some history, learned interesting tidbits and had so much fun. I highly recommend a scooter tour. Barry not only had tons of information to share but he was an incredible photographer as well.
