Way too overcrowded. People were pushing against the railing and I had my young son in front of me. Awful.

Unfortunately when Santa comes out kids tend to want to be near him. This is not a private experience.

Do not listen to the other reviews and book this tour! One of the cheapest things we did in NYC and one of the best. The crew on the boat was great and our main stew who was giving safety instructions and fun facts was engaging. Plenty of time to see the views of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan downtown skyline. Sure, the Santa is not going to b e cast as a Santa in an Academy award winning film, but he was fun and stopped to take photos with everyone who wanted one -- the kids on board loved it. The boat has an indoor and outdoor, in case weather is inclement. If taking an Uber or Lyft, put Pier 36 and/or the Van Gogh Immersive Experience in your phone for the destination -- the boat takes off from right behind there.
