We chose the open top option for this tour. Our guide was Gwen, I'm not sure if she is new to the company, but for someone who claims to be a native New Yorker and who has been working on tours for 20+ years, it didn't seem like she knew much about the city. Maybe it was an off day? If you think that this tour will be a great way to see the city lit up at night and explore different neighborhoods and see the park and waterfront; think again. We did get to see the waterfront at one of the piers, but were led through the line of angry people waiting in line for a concert. We were also surprised about how much walking there was... we made a quick - emphasis on quick - at Little Island Park. If you would stop to take a picture, the guide would still be walking away. We then crossed the street to walk the high line. I'm not sure what the point of this was, because there really isn't much to see. The stop of Grand Central was nice. Our last stop was at the Edge. The tour description really needs to say that if you choose to add on Edge tickets, that you much find your own transportation back to Times Square. I more than likely would not take this tour again or recommend it to one of my friends.
