This night tour was a huge disappointment for us. We took the day tour by the same company and had a great time, so we were looking forward to this tour, but it fell short.
1. Our tour guide, Rhonda. The quality of the tour is largely driven by the quality of the tour guide. Rhonda was not a good tour guide. On the bus, she would confuse left and right. She also pointed out a lot of things on her side of the bus that the other half of the bus could not see. She would sometimes start telling us something and then get distracted and start talking about something else without completing her first thought. When we got out of the bus to walk around, she did a lot of talking while walking (facing forward) so only the few people right behind her could here what she was saying. She didn't wait to ensure the group was together before crossing streets. At one point a young girl needed to use the restroom and the father asked if we could hold on for a minute while she went. Rhonda ignored him and walked on. The rest of us said we would wait and Rhonda walked on a good 50 feet before she even noticed we weren't behind her.
This is also weird...as she was talking to the group, she would stand just inches away from my face and even bumped into me a couple times like I wasn't even there. I must have been invisible to her because she also skipped over me and my mom when asking everyone else in the bus where they were from.
In addition to her poor guide skills, she was unprofessional and condescending to our driver. She was constantly asking him why he was going a certain way and rolled her eyes and shook her head at him when she didn't like where he had pulled over to drop us off.
2. Not a lot of lights. As a
another reviewer mentioned, if you take the tour in the summer, it is still bright for half the tour. There are also large parts of the tour where you are driving through the city but there isn't a lot to see or you are on the wrong side of the bus to see it. The covered bus also limits a lot of what you can see. I did enjoy seeing the skyline from Brooklyn, but it was a very quick 10 min stop and we didn't have time
to explore the area at all. If you're looking to get some photos of the city at night, this is not a good tour for that.
3. Not a negative of the tour itself, but I wouldn't recommend doing the day and night tour in the same day. I was exhausted after 12 hours of touring! Also as a note, I did enjoy my day tour with the same company and give that tour 5 stars.

Dear Customer, We are sorry to hear that your experience was not the best, we would appreciate it if you would give us an opportunity to reverse this experience either in the cities of Washington DC or New York and we invite you to see our new fleet of buses and convertible Mercedes, likewise these practices have left aside since new procedures have been implemented for the hiring of tourguides, unfortunately some tourguides as people have a different temperament. Thank for your comments.
