We saw a lot of places in our nearly 4 hour tour! When we stopped along the High Line, we had plenty of time at Chelsea Market to grab a bit for dinner. We went on a weeknight, which allowed for plenty of time to eat and look around. We were at the Brooklyn Promenade at sunset/ just after sunset an it was beautiful. A spectacular view of Manhattan. Our tour guide had only lived in NYC for about 2 years, so she didn't really know a lot about the city, aside from reading from note cards. She gave some wrong information, which made us wonder what else wasn't right. We love to know history and details, but this tour guide was lacking in that. She was certainly enthusiastic and friendly, but not many history/factual details/stories.
A few notes on the tour: the info says it goes over the Brooklyn Bridge. It goes over the Manhattan Bridge. It's better to be on the Manhattan Bridge just for the view of the BB.
There are a few places you get our that aren't mentioned: you get out at the High Line/Chelsea Market, Brooklyn Promenade in DUMBO, Washington Square Park and Grand Central Station. It's great to have the opportunity to get out to see things up close and get good pictures. It's also good to know you'll get our that much so you dress appropriately for walking (shoes/jackets, etc.)
Our only complaint was the tour guide who's knowledge was lacking on a lot of NYC history, stories, etc. . Tony the driver was great- got us through a lot of traffic with ease.
