Rachel was an awesome guide and Jerry our driver was ready with an air conditioned bus after our stops. A problem with our flight caused us to miss the day tour but Pedro was great at rescheduling us to the night tour. Adrian was also great at getting us on the day tour in the first place as it was almost full. I really wanted this tour as NY was under extreme heat advisory and we didn’t want to have to get around on our own. We had to rush from the airport and just made it. So glad we did as tour gave a great overview of NY and Rachel was full of interesting info on what we saw. My 16 year olds enjoyed it as well. We ended the night with devils food cheesecake from Juniors at Rachel’s suggestion and it was so good!

Chose the night tour to get a different view of the city. Our guide Racheal was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We learned both the history of New York and what it is like to live and work in the city. Highlights were the Highline and the Dumbo districts. If we had time we would have also booked the day tour to see upper Manhattan.

In planning our trip to NYC for our family (including 5 kids ranging from age 5 to 16 as well as grandparents), I knew I wanted a night bus tour for the night we arrived to really introduce the kids to the city. I was planning to book one of the double decker bus tours, as the kids would think that was great fun. I came across reviews for this USA Guided night bus tour and noticed that it stops at several places we probably weren't going to have time to get to otherwise like the High Line, and the reviews were just so good! After literally deliberating for weeks, I asked all the kids and we decided on this USA guided night tour. I had noticed that not many of the reviews mentioned kids, so I was worried it would be boring for them, but I finally made the choice and booked it. To summarize, we saw many sights and experienced areas of the city we wouldn't have otherwise gotten to. Rachel, our tour guide, was lovely. She did an excellent job relating the fascinating stories of NYC, and note this, she also gave us plenty of advice that we used and were grateful for as this was our first family trip to NYC. My older kids actually loved the whole tour. They thought it was fascinating and all wanted to write their own reviews of how great the experience was and how amazing Rachel was. They were the only kids on the bus. Also, after this tour they could all write essays on the concept of gentrification and how it affects cities. Our 5yo loved parts of the tour, and other parts he was asking to go home. In the end, he said he liked it, but this wouldn't be the easiest tour for families with many small children.
