We rented bikes for six people. The staff were friendly and helpful. They ended up giving us a discount. We had a great time exploring Central Park. ...Will definitely rent from them again.

Dreadful service and no manners, absolutely no sense of how to treat a customer. Prices are very expensive too - would be more worthwhile to rent citi bikes near central park or go to other bike rentals with more competitive prices

Booked and paid online. Bikes were ready when we arrived. Girl at reception lacked customer service training but got the job done. Photo ID required (which they keep for duration). Bikes were good/okay - they set up seat hight for you, but also self adjustable. Gears were variable in quality between bikes. All bikes had at least 4 or 5 selectable gears (out of 15) which were able to be changed easily. So not perfect, but fine for the hills in central park. The lock chains worked fine. 5mins walk to central park entrance. Suggest visit free map and guide kiosk at entrance for map and advice on where to visit. We did full central park anticlockwise circular route, including visit to New York Historical Museum, Ice cream by model boat pond and a few other rest stops in 3 hrs.
