My sister and I booked this cruise as part of our holiday to NYC. The booking was easy to make and communication updates were excellent.
We were met by a lovely, friendly employee when we arrived and checking in was easy. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed as to where we were seated for lunch on the lower deck, however. The cruise wasnāt full, yet we were seated away from the window, next to the queuing customers at the buffet and I was also seated next to a support pole so that, ultimately, I was left feeling very crushed and hemmed in when this was absolutely avoidable and unnecessary. There were many empty tables next to windows, so I was bemused as to why I was crushed up against queuing g customers? Nevertheless, the buffet lunch was high quality and there was a great selection to suit everyoneās tastes/ dietary requirements. Itās worth noting however that the food quickly ran out and so we and other customers were not afforded the same choice. When we were seated, half the buffet had gone and serving dishes were totally empty. Thatās a pity.
The cruise itself was excellent. The cruise takes you very close to the Statue of Liberty and the skyline is superb. Great views of Brooklyn Bridge too. Ample and comfortable seating was available and the bar service was also very good. The DJ and music were superb too.
This is actually a 5 star cruise that offers value for money. I couldnāt give it 5 stars because of where we were seated for lunch and food running out. I would still have no hesitation recommending this experience though as the staff were helpful and friendly and the sights made up for the wee weaknesses relating to the lunch.
