The boat was great. It would be beneficial to provide blankets or extra jackets if the crew knows it is going to be cold and some of the passengers aren’t prepared.

It was the weekend of the 300th Anniversary of Henry Hudson's discovery of NYC's harbor area and the river than now claims his name. My friend Rose and I came to the city to share in their celebration. The schooner tour was part of the plan we'd made to honor Henry and how he revealed that though the Hudson River didn't end up by being a shortcut to China, as they had hoped, it now was a new feature on a map of the new world and the rest is history.

We took the Sunset cruise to the Statue of Liberty as guests of Downtown Magazine NYC on a late Sunday afternoon, and we had such a blast. The weather was amazing, with sufficient wind to have all sails up, and the sail was just wonderful. The crew is super nice, and in the COVID situation they had organized everything very well, with separate groups, separate boarding and assigned seats, very well organized! We did the architecture cruise with them a couple of weeks earlier, also with Downtown Magazine, and that was as well very well organized! Manhattan is best seen from a boat!
