Overview

For ages 5 and up, this approx 90-min tour is an "overview" tour of scenic Newport.

After boarding our luxurious and comfortable trolley at platform #2 of the Newport Transit Center, your driver starts the tour with a brief history of Colonial-era downtown and explains the Gilded Age history and events that occurred over the centuries.

Then you will experience breath-taking views of scenic Ocean Drive prior to seeing the strip of mansions lining Bellevue Ave. Along the route, movie and TV sets will come to life, such as HBOs The Gilded Age, Hocus Pocus 2, The Great Gatsby, Amistad, True Lies, and a dozen more.

Today's happenings are also thoroughly covered such as the best dining spots, boat tours, and other fun activities. Your tour guide will detail the best way to navigate this bustling city as well as explain the Cliff Walk attractions.

The duration of this tour is 70-90 minutes, depending on traffic conditions
This tour departs promptly at scheduled time. We cannot hold the trolley for stragglers. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to departure. We may sell the seats of passengers who are not on time to others who are waiting on standby
There are no refunds to passengers who arrive late and miss the tour
Our drivers have updated manifests on their smart phones. Cancelled tickets are not accepted for admission
Youth under 17 must be accompanied by an adult
The trolley is not handicapped accessible. Driver may assign seating based on customer's physical needs
There are no longer any covid restrictions. All seats and rows are utilized and face coverings are not required

If you have never been to Newport, this trolley tour is a must-do. The driver at 1pm 10/6/19 was very informative and entertaining. Not your typical tour. Well worth it.

A fun and entertaining tour for all! Lots of information, this tour has it all; some jokes, some seriousness, and some great history. Easy to get to, a comfortable and air conditioned (heat and cooling) trolley with a great sound system. Restrooms and a comfortable waiting area with covered loading zone. Carlos our driver, and company owner, was fantastic, flexible, and friendly. After a flight cancellation he graciously changed our tour date, and then allowed a shift after we were late to the tour. I’d recommend for all ages, abilities, and interests. Suzanne

To say this was a trolley it was like a luxury coach inside. Interesting tour with an informative driver. Would recommend it.
