Jack was great - Newport food tour was very entertaining, highlighted areas off the beaten path, & a lot of fun! A must do!

Jack was an engaging, knowledgable and enthusiastic tour guide. He knows his food and drink and local lore. He was really great about making sure the tour was well paced and that everyone felt taken care of and had their needs met. There was a wide variety of different kinds of food and drinks in different kinds of restaurants, cafes and a boutique hotel. Along the way, we learned interesting Newport and Rhode Island history and at each stop Jack shared the story of the restaurant owners. The tour primarily featured smaller restaurants owned by a family or a group of friends. The food was delicious: we had carnitas tacos, Caribbean spiced chicken with plantains, pesto and cheese toast, pork ribs, super fresh oysters, coconut creme dessert cups. For drinks we had cold brew nitro coffee (a RI obsession), rose, local beer and a watermelon margarita. There are vegetarian options and alcohol free options. We hope to do the Providence tour in the future. Highly recommend!

My husband and I took this food tour in order to get a chance to try food off the beaten path. Jack was our tour guide and he made the experience fun and entertaining. His knowledge and history of the area added to the wonderful restaurants he took us to. The food and drink tastings were varied and all excellent. I would definitely recommend this tour!
