To listen to the self-guided tour, group members must bring their own smart device with earbuds/headsets and download the tour from the Newport Mansions app. It is highly recommended to download the app and open the app to download the tour before you arrive. If you do not have headphones, you may read the tour transcript in the app or pick up a printed script at the mansion.
What To Expect

Ocean Drive
Pass through the Historic Downtown Newport section to learn about what made Newport one of the most imporant colonial cities in America. As we weave through downtown we will visit the famed Ten-Mile Ocean Drive known for it's breathtaking beauty.

Bellevue Avenue
As we finish our tour of the Ten-Mile Ocean Drive we will continue our tour on Bellevue Avenue, known for the opulent estates that made the Gilded Ages part of Newport's famed history!

Marble House
Visit the opulent summer cottage of Alva & William K Vanderbilt.

Really appreciated Ray’s thorough knowledge of the area. My husband and I go on a lot of tours and this was one of the best. He made the tour interesting and fun.

We had a wonderful guide mr lynch He started talking before we left and was interesting the entire two and half hours Since he is a native Newport resident he gave us little bits of his own history as related to what we were seeing It is so good to have someone who truly loves his job and where he come from Thank you mr lynch
