Overview

Enjoy delightful food from five restaurants while strolling the historic streets of Newport, Rhode Island! Our tour begins in front of the Wave sculpture on the corner of America's Cup Ave. and Memorial Blvd.. We will talk about Newport's infamous pirates, Revolutionary War armies, the Gilded Age of mansions and industrialists, the Irish American heritage up to and including the condominium boom. Our tour will last 2.5 hours and will cover approximately 1.75 miles. Bring your appetites, you will not be disappointed!

Our meeting place which is located in front of the Wave Sculpture, at the corner of America's Cup Blvd and Memorial Blvd.in the heart of Newport. Following your check in, we give a brief history of the 41 North and the Armory, then continue on to our "Off the Beaten Path" tour. If you have been to Newport many times or if this is your first time, you will experience many new facts and wonderful restaurants along the way.

Brown and Howard Wharf, one of the busiest harbors dating back to the 1800's, today it is still a popular port for luxury yachts.

Susan was amazing, we got to learn a lot about the history of Newport. Eat at local hot spots and a brief tour of one of the mansions. The food was amazing and a nice size portion. My favorite food spot was the Italian restaurant Vieste. They have great a story to tell about how the restaurant first started and great food. I think everyone should try the food tour, I’m sure you will have an amazing tour.

Informative, fun & generous portions! Had a wonderful time, discovered some restaurant gems, and plan to experience the winter wine dinner version. Additionally, I requested the vegetarian option & was very pleased, Highly suggest for a different sort of Newport experience!

This was one of the best food tours I have been on! Susan was great and very informative about the history of the area and the local food scene. The food was fantastic from local establishments that we wouldn’t have found on our own. We had full portions, not just samples of the food at each stop, with a nice variety. I would highly recommend this foodie tour!
