Overview

Enjoy delightful food from five restaurants while strolling the historic streets of Newport, Rhode Island! Our tour begins in front of the Wave sculpture on the corner of America's Cup Ave. and Memorial Blvd.. We will talk about Newport's infamous pirates, Revolutionary War armies, the Gilded Age of mansions and industrialists, the Irish American heritage up to and including the condominium boom. Our tour will last 2.5 hours and will cover approximately 1.75 miles. Bring your appetites, you will not be disappointed!

Our meeting place which is located in front of the Wave Sculpture, at the corner of America's Cup Blvd and Memorial Blvd.in the heart of Newport. Following your check in, we give a brief history of the 41 North and the Armory, then continue on to our "Off the Beaten Path" tour. If you have been to Newport many times or if this is your first time, you will experience many new facts and wonderful restaurants along the way.

Definitely recommend. Got to experience many places we would have never tried, tour guides shared a lot of history and personal experiences in Newport. Also went beyond typical tourist area. Great walking experience! We’ll be back as it was a pleasure!

We took the Summer Newport Foodies Stroll in 2018 and returned in February for the Winter Stroll. This stroll was simply perfect. We started with an appetizer and wine pairing at the first restaurant which was charming and delicious. From there, it was a short walk through the beautiful streets of Newport to the next restaurant where we had our main course and wine pairing. The final stop was a to-die-for dessert (and wine pairing) just down the street. All 3 restaurants are places I can't wait to go back to. The tour was a perfect combination of food & drink, fresh air, and ambiance. Why limit yourself to a single restaurant when you can enjoy 3 in one evening with the Newport Foodies Stroll! Tom and Sue are friendly hosts who know how to make an evening in Newport truly special. Highly recommended!
