Overview

Enjoy delightful food from five restaurants while strolling the historic streets of Newport, Rhode Island! Our tour begins in front of the Wave sculpture on the corner of America's Cup Ave. and Memorial Blvd.. We will talk about Newport's infamous pirates, Revolutionary War armies, the Gilded Age of mansions and industrialists, the Irish American heritage up to and including the condominium boom. Our tour will last 2.5 hours and will cover approximately 1.75 miles. Bring your appetites, you will not be disappointed!

Our meeting place which is located in front of the Wave Sculpture, at the corner of America's Cup Blvd and Memorial Blvd.in the heart of Newport. Following your check in, we give a brief history of the 41 North and the Armory, then continue on to our "Off the Beaten Path" tour. If you have been to Newport many times or if this is your first time, you will experience many new facts and wonderful restaurants along the way.

Susan and Tom are incredible!. it was a fantastic tour, the walk was full of history, details of a town we have spent a great deal of time in over the years. All of the restaurants we visited were soo good. Winner Winner omg their chicken and corn bread we so delicious. The beautiful fountains on the lawn of the Elms. The Sliders at Harry's were seasoned so yummy! Walking Newport is always beautiful.

My husband Mark and I along with our friends Sharon and Dave took this tour today! There was another couple for a total of 6 in our group. Tom was a great guide, friendly, informative, interesting, and kind. The stops were all lovely and the food was delicious. Small local places we would not have known to try on our own. We have traveled to many fun cities with our friends and always try to do one tour to learn something from the “locals.” This was perfect informative, delicious, and great company. I would highly recommend this tour! Thanks Tom for a great afternoon!
