Overview
Uncover what was the second leg of the Underground Railroad. Our Scholarly 3-hour tour guides you through the city of Niagara Falls Ontario and nearby wine country (Niagara-On-The-Lake) en-route to St. Catharine's, Ontario where Harriet Tubman set-up her abolitionist strong-hold and place of worship, - the British Methodist Episcopal Church, Salem Chapel. Listen to the stories and see the sites that made up the African-Canadian experience heard from decedents of Freedom Seekers. Experience various freedom crossing points. See the historic Suspension and its connection to Tubman while catching a panoramic view of the Falls, and the role it played in the slave trade all with the roar of the mighty Niagara at your feet. I came across Motherland Connextions while searching for things to do in Niagara Falls. I enjoy history tours but didn't know what to expect. Kevin was professional and personable from the start. Once we got in the van and started the drive he began to educate us on history that I had not studied in school or on my own. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of the tour. Kevin was an outstanding tour guide full of information and good conversation. We truly enjoyed ourselves and learned so much from him. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in history to take this tour with Kevin.

Wish I had not gotten into the van provided for this tour. It was filthy. Windshield was cracked all the way across. Not a good start. We cut it short ,very short. CertainlyNot worth what we paid.

Wow, we work very hard to provide a good experience and to educate so, when we get a review like this it causes us to scratch our heads in amazement because its not even close to what our clients say about us. I actually take personal offense to our van being so-called filthy - funny nobody else that day lodged the same complaint. Sounds like this person wasn't a history lover - it helps to be one when taking our tour or it could be a long day. We NEVER cut a tour short, if anything its always over the allotted time and as for the cracked windshield it happened that morning but instead of cancelling the tour we went ahead with it not to disappoint our clients as long as it wasn't a safety hazard. I've learned that you can't please everyone but, thanks for taking the time to provide feedback unfortunately, we can't correct this complaint because we see it as internal within this person, however the windshield has since been fixed. Hopefully this person learned a nugget of history.
