Across the border was very time consuming. Probably an hour just sitting on the bus was a bummer. If you want just the boat ride, I'd stay on the Canadian side and do the RED boat. The actual ride on the Maid of the Most was really awesome, and yes, you do get wet so make sure you put the poncho on. This tour takes you to Goat and Three Sisters Islands which is very informative. Lunch at a toursty/souvenir spot is just ok, different vendors that your on your own to purchase. You go to the whirlpool and take a little time to check it out, which is fun. The last stop is the Skylor tower to view the falls from 700+ feet above. Our tour guide was right on and was really pretty good. The only issue is the time it takes to go from the Canadian side to the American side and then back.
