MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SWIMMING AND SNORKELING EXPERIENCE OR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET IN THE WATER!!!
MUST BE comfortable in the water, be comfortable using floatation if needed (we have Ride Along option available for non-swimmers)
Must be in good health and fit condition, must be able to climb a short ladder

Simon the captain and his crew were awesome. They made our adventure fun, exciting and memorable. This adventure is a must do when staying on the island of Hawaii.

We had done a Manta Ray trip with a different vendor a few years ago at the Kona airport site. Became a bit concerned when the boat headed way south, until I asked the crew and they explained the two different sites. Captain and crew were entertaining and helpful. I would suggest an explanation of the use of the swim noodles to control your legs in the water be discussed onboard before hitting the water. Several others either didn't listen or understand and were flailing their legs all over, once kicking me in the face from the other side of the board. Took a while to have the Mantas come in , probably because of that, but eventually the crew got most of the swimmers under some control and we eventually had 9 mantas doing their amazing underwater ballet. I thought perhaps the crew would film and sell a CD at the end, but they do not. We filmed with a small underwater camera. The water was cold in January, and the shorty wet-suit helped, but the warm shower on board afterward was greatly appreciated! So were the snacks and juice. Bring towels and something warm to wear after the swim. Windbreaker is a good idea too. There is a public bathroom at the harbor to change into your suit before trip, but it was locked up on return, so had to change clothes in the parking lot. Booked and paid via Tripadvisor without difficulty.

Crew was very nice and helpful in getting people prepared and adjusted to snorkeling at night. Was a Great experience. A must do when in Kona.
